Born in Treviso in 1974, Luisa Fabris graduated in Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts of Venice in 1998. A year later She had her first individual show in the project “Venezia da vivere” organized by the Municipality of Venice. Since 1998 Luisa has attended many collective exhibitions and She has taken part in national and international events where She has achieved distinctive prizes and awards. In 1999 She received the “San Giorgio young artists prize” in Pistoia (Italy). At a European contest “Spaventapasseri” She was selected for a residency in Ferrara (Italy) and her sculpture is present in the Delta del Po Park. She was also awarded one of the “International Art Carrara Hallstahammar prizes” with exhibitions in Carrara (Italy) and at the Italiensk Kulturell Forening of Hallstahammar (Sweden).
In 2000 Luisa participated in travelling group exhibition “Freedom between Art and Transgression” in Australia organized by “Le Venezie” contemporary art centre (Treviso) in cooperation with the Italian Institute of Culture in Melbourne and sponsored by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of cultural activities. In the same year She received the “Critica Svizzera prize for the painting” (Rome). In 2001 She had a group exhibition “La coscienza e i suoi slittamenti” in the “Contemporaries Events of Biennale di Venezia” (Treviso). In 2002 for the “Nino Sanciolo prize” She was selected for a residency at the Victorian College of the arts in Melbourne (Australia) in cooperation with the Italian Institute of Culture in Melbourne and “Le Venezie” .
Since 2000 Luisa has been selected for several collective exhibitions with the art centre “Le Venezie” in important places like Villa Letizia (Treviso), Gibsoteca of Possagno-Fondazione Antonio Canova (Treviso-2003), Gibsoteca Libero Andreotti of Pescia (Florence-2007).
In
2008 Luisa is among “Hun Gallery international 2008”
winners and
She has a group exhibition at the Hun Gallery (New York). She has
another collective exhibition in “Sale del Bramante” (Rome).
From November 2008 to November 2009 Luisa is attending to travelling
exhibition EuArt Project
in United States: Miami, Boston, New York (Italian Institute of Culture
in NY), San Francisco, Los Angeles.
